Heute ist wirklich ein „Lovely Day“. Mit diesem Video zum gleichnamigen Titel wird er noch ein wenig schöner. Es stammt aus dem neuen Album „Lean On Me“ von José James, der damit Soul-Legende Bill Withers feiert. Zusammen mit dem Traum-Team Pino Palladino (bass), Kris Bowers (keys), Brad Allen Williams (guitar) und Nate Smith (drums) hat er grandiose neue Versionen von Withers-Klassikern wie „Ain’t No Sunshine“, „Use Me“ und „Just The Two Of Us“ aufgenommen.
Ein tolles Album. Bill Withers Songs besitzen einfach Klasse. Wenn sie dann noch von José James interpretiert werden, kann nichts mehr falsch laufen.
