Ich mag die Milchbar Editions sehr – den Milchbar Sound – wie er mittlerweile auch genannt wird. Und erstaunlicherweise scheint jede Ausgabe noch besser zu sein. Das liegt nicht nur an der Auswahl, sondern vielleicht an der besonderen Beziehung des DJ-Duos zur Insel Norderney, die wahrscheinlich eher wächst als abnimmt. Seaside Season 9, „My Island“ bietet wieder exklusive Songs mit Beiträgen von Cantoma, Niia oder Troels Hammer, der bereits Tracks zur „Chilltronica“-Reihe von Blank & Jones beigesteuert hat. Die 80er Formation Freeez und ihr Hit „Southern Freeez“ sind ebenfalls zu hören.
Blank & Jones selber haben neben dem Opener viele neue Songs nur für die Milchbar eingespielt. Sie arbeiteten u.a. mit dem Australier Falqo zusammen, aber auch Stardelay und RunSQ wurden mit Remixen beauftragt. So entsteht ein perfekter Mix aus Chill Out, Lounge, Bar Grooves und Beach House.
Ebenso traditionell wie die jährliche Milchbar Ausgabe, sind auch die „Sunset Sessions“, die Blank & Jones zweimal je Saison abhalten. Die aktuellen Termine für 2017 sind diesmal der 22. April und 05. August – entspannte Unterhaltung bei freiem Eintritt. Wer reif für die Insel ist, hat hier ein lohnendes Ziel, um beim Milchbar-Feeling zu chillen und wieder ins Gleichgewicht zu kommen.
